Which iPhone is right for you?
As much as we would love to just tell you that there is a simple answer to this question, there really isn't. However, like most manufacturers out there, Apple can more or less be broken into two categories - cheap iPhones and the latest releases.
For those who don't care about fancy specs, there is a strong collection of affordable handsets from Apple - the iPhone SE, iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and more. These kinds of devices have seen a major reduction in price since they were released and mean Apple doesn't have to take an axe to your bank account.
On the complete opposite end of the spectrum is Apple's flagships and top devices. These range from Apple's 10th anniversary iPhone X all the way through to Apple's beast of a phone the iPhone 11 Pro Max with its powerful hardware and intimidating price tag.

Okay so while Apple doesn't exactly make budget phones or have any 'affordable ranges', there are still a few devices that have fallen in price. Below we've listed the best cheap iPhones ranging from the iPhone SE to the iPhone 6S so you can find your perfect cheap iPhone deal.
The 2015 edition was and is simply stunning
OS: iOS 9 | Screen size: 4.7-inch | Resolution: 1334 x 750 | Memory: 2GB | Storage: 16/64/128GB | Battery: 1,715mAh | Rear camera: 12MP | Front camera: 5MP
It looks very similar to the iPhone 6 below, but it's got a new '3D touch' screen which allows you to do different things depending how hard you press on it, plus a new camera, faster processor and a stronger frame. It's pretty cheap as well, perfect for those wanting cheap iPhone deals.

iPhone 6S Plus
The big brother to the phone above is beautiful and powerful
OS: iOS 9 | Screen size: 5.5-inch | Resolution: 1920 x 1080 | Memory: 2GB | Storage: 16/64/128GB | Battery: 2,750mAh | Rear camera: 12MP | Front camera: 5MP
The iPhone 6S Plus is very similar to the iPhone 6S above but it's bigger and, some would say, better. Some will find the bigger size inconvenient but for iPhone users who have looked on enviously at all those gorgeous Android phablets out there, this is the phone for you. The screen is big enough that you won't be reaching for your iPad as much. There are few reasons to upgrade from an iPhone 6 Plus to this phone, but if you're on an older model and you want some brilliant cheap plus sized iPhone deals, this is definitively it.

The iPhone 6 might now be a bit older but it still offers the premium experience you've come to expect from Apple and lots more. Even with a good number of iPhone deals coming out after this it still feels relatively new. The battery might not be massive or the processor, but the price tag of this cheap device makes it all worth it.

If you're looking for something a little bigger but without paying the asking price for a 6S Plus, consider the iPhone 6 Plus. When it comes to plus sized iPhone deals this is one of the cheaper options. Compared to some of the other cheap iPhones in this list it is a little costly but for a phone this big and powerful, it still makes sense to us.

Do I get any free gifts with my iPhone deal?
Currently, if you buy any iPhone deal (including the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro), either SIM-free or on contract, you will also get a year of Apple TV+ for free. This is a brand new service from Apple, in fact it won't actually launch until November 1.
In essence, Apple TV+ is the company's direct competition to both Netflix and Amazon Prime, offering a host of original shows and films. A number of originals have already been announced with a host of big names involved, including Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston, M. Night Shyamalan and Steven Spielberg.

When is the next iPhone coming out?
The most recent batch of iPhones - the 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max - very recently came out, bringing Apple up to date with its competition. That does however mean that we now won't see a new iPhone until late 2020. You can expect Apple to launch its next batch of devices in September 2020, likely including a 5G iPhone.
Does Apple have a 5G iPhone deals?
Not yet. There were a number of rumours suggesting Apple would release one alongside the iPhone 11 range however none came. That means for anyone wanting to break into the future and get a 5G iPhone, you will have to wait until 2020 when reports suggest they will join the 5G game.
Are refurbished iPhone deals any good?
Looking to bag a cheap iPhone? Refurbished could well be the way to go. When you invest in a refurbished iPhone, you're looking to save a good few hundred pounds. Everything from the iPhone XS Max to the iPhone 6S can be found through refurbs.
There is a certain stigma about iPhone deals that come refurbished. People expect a phone covered in fingerprints and weird marks you can't quite place. Luckily, most of these issues don't actually occur on refurbished devices.
The large majority of second-hand phones have simply been bought and returned in a few weeks. Also, most iPhone deals coming to you refurbished have a 12 month warranty.
How can I get a cheap iPhone deal?
iPhone deals aren't exactly notorious for their affordability, however there are still a few ways to land a smaller price tag with Apple. The most obvious option is to go for an older device. Cheap iPhone 7 deals could land you monthly bills in the £20 area. Or even iPhone 8 contracts don't cost too much now.
But, if you want your cheap iPhone to look, feel and act like a flagship - things get a little bit harder. You won't be able to get cheap iPhone 11 deals yet but prices have started to come down on the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max. And if you go refurbished you can get those phones at a surprisingly affordable price.
Getting yourself a refurbished iPhone could save you in the ranges of £100-200 overall. Despite what is the common place thinking, refurbished iPhones aren't broken or dirty, in fact they are usually just returned within 2 weeks of their purchase.
What is the best iPhone right now?
This really is a completely subjective question and completely depends on what you need from your phone contract. However, there is definitely a few key iPhones, out-performing in certain areas.
iPhone 11 Pro Max: This is now Apple's biggest and most powerful phone. If you have the money to spare this will be the best iPhone. It has the biggest battery and the biggest screen to really enhance your phone experience.
iPhone 11: Like the iPhone XR last year the iPhone 11 has one sole goal - bring high-end Apple specs at a more affordable price. For the majority of people wanting a new iPhone this will be the option to go for, avoiding the Pro Max and its monstrous price tag.
iPhone XS: It is now a year old but the iPhone XS offers a lot of what Apple's most recent phones can do but without the head-splitting price tag.
iPhone XR: Same premise as the iPhone XS - it is a cheaper option for Apple fans than the iPhone 11 and still offers an excellent phone. And, offering a bigger battery than the iPhone XS, you'll be able to power through the day with ease.
iPhone 7: While all of the phones above are still pretty expensive, the iPhone 7 has seen a considering drop in price. Don't care about fancy specs? This will be the phone to go for.
When is the best time to buy an iPhone deal?
Like a lot of the other questions here, there isn't an exact answer but there are certain times that can offer better prices on Apple's phones.
- New releases: Like all other phones, when a new iPhone comes out we frequently see the other devices in Apple's arsenal come down in price. With the iPhone 11 now out this is the time to invest. Your next Apple release will be in 2020.
- Black Friday: The yearly mega sale, Black Friday can be the perfect time to get iPhone deals. Every year we see phones come crashing down in price and we'll be shouting out the best offers to grab when the time comes back around.
- Amazon Prime Day: Amazon's impressive sale for Prime Subscribers, we almost always see a load of cheap iPhones appear during this two day sale.
- Absolutely any day: Realistically, there isn't any specific time or place that is best for getting a new iPhone deal. There are price cuts, promotions and major discounts every day and you just have to catch them as they happen. Luckily, we will be catching all of them as they appear and gathering them in our chart at the top of this page.
What is the cheapest iPhone deal?
Due to prices going up and down constantly, it is hard to give an exact choice. The cheapest iPhones tend to be the iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 7. However, for those wanting the cheapest iPhone on contract, the iPhone SE isn't a great choice, not really available from most retailers anymore.
Combining decent specs and affordable pricing, we would recommend the iPhone 7 for the cheapest iPhone deals.
Should I get iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro deals?
With its far lower price tag, we can't help but feel that the iPhone 11 is a far superior choice for the majority of people. However, if you're the kind of person who likes having the best phone around then the upgrade to either the iPhone 11 Pro or Pro Max will be pretty necessary.
With an iPhone 11 Pro (or Pro Max) you'll be getting a bigger battery and an additional camera. However, if you're a fan of smaller phones, the iPhone 11 Pro is the smallest of Apple's trio of phones.
Are iPhone XR or iPhone XS deals better value for money?
For those wanting a new flagship iPhone deal but can't quite stomach the pricing of the iPhone XS Max, it comes down to two options - the iPhone XS and iPhone XR. It's a simple question really, would you prefer the more affordable option with lower specs or the more expensive, more impressive option.
While the iPhone XR offers the best iPhone battery on the market and considerably drops the price below the iPhone XS, it is the weaker option overall - camera, processor and screen included.
